Mubarak Atmata is a visual artist, based in Kerala. His works are largely straightforward depictions of everyday objects and scenes, many of them in Palakkad, an Indian district. He experiments with colour photography as an artistic medium.
Mubarak's quest for artistic expressions spans across the diverse space-time continuum. People, things (both tangible and intangible), ideas, and apparitions get a new spatial and temporal existence in his photographs.According to him, art forms aren't mere institutionalized art practices but one of the most natural happenings evolved unfolding alongside life, death and every moment in between.
